Charlie's Awarded - Sydney Royal

Charlie’s Cookies was awarded two coveted Sydney Royal medals at the 2012 Sydney Royal Fine Food Awards, judged by an expert panel of food industry experts.

Charlie’s received a Bronze for their delicious Mini Lemon Melting Moments, in the Pastry & Biscuit section, the highest awarded in their category. A Silver went to the brand new Muesli Slice with Middle Eastern Fruit, in the Fruit Logs/Loaf class. Again the highest award presented in this class. Winning entries were judged out of 100 points for volume, general appearance, taste, baked quality and quality of finish and needed to receive a minimum of 75 points to score Bronze. Charlie’s Mini Lemon Melting Moments can be purchased at Thomas Dux Grocers in Melbourne and Sydney.

New Slices available now!

One more thing for the sweet tooth looking for something more, we have now introduced some new slices! Current available only in our shop in East Bentleigh, with sampling stock available to try before you buy, the flavours available now are:

• Salted Caramel
• Chocolate & Walnut Fudge Brownie
• White Chocolate Date & Pistachio
• Lemon Coconut Slice
• Muesli Slice

These products are in store now, exclusive to the shop. They will also be available soon as a foodservice line and through selected retailers so keep an eye on this space for more details!

New Shop hours

The days are getting longer and it almost feels like summer has arrived in Melbourne! Our Christmas products are just around the corner and we have a fantastic range of cookies and slices available. What will it be? Chocolate fudge & walnut brownie, or white choc, date & pistachio slice? Too many choices. We’d like to let our cookie club fans know that from today onwards we have extended our shop hours, and they are now:

10 am – 4pm Tuesday – Friday

Keep an eye out as we will be open on Saturdays closer to Christmas with some new treats in store!

New stock in store now!

Variety is the spice of life! Or in this case maybe it would be the sugar, not the spice? Either way, we’re sure you get the picture and the point of this whole extended introduction is that we have new products to share with you all!

After a very fun-filled weekend at Taste of Melbourne, we are very happy to share with you, our cookie-lovers, news of our brand new products now available only in our store at 225 East Boundary Rd, East Bentleigh.

This includes our brand new delicious range of slices and brownies:
• chocolate & salted caramel;
• chocolate and walnut brownies;
• white chocolate, pistachio and date;
• coffee pecan; or
• moist and fruity muesli slice.

We also have some new products including our cookies-in-a-punnet. As seen in the picture there are a range of products available, packed neatly in a berry punnet or wrapped in a pantry pack. Some of the flavours available are:

• espresso eclair with hazelnut cream
• mini lemon melting moment
• baby florentines with dark chocolate
• handmade white chocolate chip bites
• vienese eclair with dark chocolate and raspberry jam.
• handmade double choc chip bites
• date and muesli brekki bikkie
• gluten free fudgelicious

And much much more! Stock is strictly limited so be sure to come by before they are all gone!

Have you tried one of our eclairs or lavosh?

Proudly flying the skies with Qantas right now is two of our yummy products.

The first is our delicate chocolate dipped viennese eclairs with raspberry jam filling – ideal as the mid morning sweet treat!

Our other yummy snack is a spicy kasundi dip with sesame lavosh bread.

Guess how many cookies were in the jar?

After a very busy and highly enjoyable weekend at Taste of Melbourne on the Sunday night it finally came down to the nuts and bolts of the festival – counting out the cookies in the jar from our guessing competition.

With guesses ranging from 84 to 2500 and plenty in between there was all kinds of tactics used to figure out exactly how many double chocolate chip rounds could fit in the jar. In total there were exactly 660 cookies in this jar – with the closest entry being from Nathalee with 662 cookies.

Courtesy of the lovely folk at Picture This , Nathalee and a friend will be flying over Melbourne early in the morning and enjoying breakfast at the Sofitel Melbourne.

As part of a promotion on Light FM for the new Charlie’s Cookies TV Show produced by Drew Barrymore, Charlie’s Cookies was part of all things “Charlies” and “Melbourne”.

As part of Luke & Lucy’s breakfast show, we gave away hampers to 3 lucky listeners of the show on 22nd September
